2021 Burning of the Letters

REMINDER: In the mornings, please do not drop off your student in the back parking lots by the cafeteria or behind HS. These areas are for staff parking and bus pickup/dropoff. If your student is brought to school by someone other than you, please make sure that they are also aware of this. Thank you for keeping our students safe.
The PINK OUT Football game is scheduled for Friday, October 8th. If you would like to purchase a PINK OUT shirt they will be sold until September 20th at 3:30. Order forms can be found at the high school and elementary offices and will be sent home with elementary students. If you do not have a student in school please email Tiffany Estrada at tiffany.estrada@edencisd.net to place your order.
Even if you do not purchase a shirt, please join us Friday, October 8th by wearing pink that day and night to the football game to support all those that will and have battled cancer.

The Varsity Cheerleaders will be in front of the elementary at 7:30am selling spirit ribbons and tattoos. $1.00 for ribbons and 50¢ for tattoos.

Football: As construction continues on our new school, parking for home games this season will be different. Below is a map to show parking options. All home games will be FREE ADMISSION this year! Eden CISD would like to thank the community for being patient with us during this exciting, but challenging time.
Students new to the district must be registered by 3:30 PM Tuesday, August 17th in order to start school Wednesday, August 18th.

Eden CISD guidelines for the 2021-22 school year can be found at the link below. Some plan highlights:
- Campus visitors will be allowed.
- Any student or staff who chooses to wear a mask will be supported.
- Positive COVID-19 cases must follow district protocol.
- The district will notify parents in case of a close contact.

Eden Elementary will be hosting a "Meet the Teacher" night on Monday, August 16, from 5:00-6:00. If you have a student that will be in Kindergarten-5th grade please make plans to join us. We have great things happening at school and can't wait to have all of our students back!

Reminder:
Summer Band starts tomorrow at 8am in the Band Hall for all 7th-12th Band Students!

New Student Enrollment will be August 2nd - 6th in the Elementary office and August 9th - 12th in the Elementary & High School Offices. Hours will be from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

School supplies for 2021-22:
Eden CISD is providing school supplies this year for our students. The district is receiving federal emergency relief funds to help get our students and families back on track for learning after the pandemic.
Students will need a backpack and few other personal items. Elementary lists are below. Secondary students will get their lists closer to the first day of school - Wednesday, August 18.

There will be a parent meeting for all JH and HS football players in the auditorium on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the auditorium. If you have a child that is planning on playing, you are highly encouraged to attend. We will be discussing expectations and procedures for the upcoming season, as well as collecting the required paperwork. The following paperwork is required before your child can participate in any UIL extracurricular sport:
• Pre-participation physical
• Steroid Agreement
• Sudden Cardiac Awareness
• Concussion Acknowledgment
• Rules Acknowledgement
• Athletic Policy and Appendix

Summer Band Week 1 begins August 2nd from 8am-5:30pm.
~Students should be in the band hall ready to start at 8AM.
~Absolutely essential that all band members attend.
~Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
~Wear loose fitting, light colored clothes
~Wear athletic shoes (NO flip flops, sandals, or Crocs)
~Bring an extra pair of socks, clothes, etc. in case you get wet/muddy
~Lunch is on your own.
~WEAR SUNSCREEN, hats, sunglasses, deodorant, etc.
All students must have a current 2021 physical.

The Eden FCCLA National Qualifiers have safely made it to Nashville, TN for the National FCCLA Leadership Conference. We are looking forward to a great week!

Congratulations to our own Kelli Dillard, who is retiring after 34 years in education. While she has served in many roles over the years, she finished her career as technology director. Thank you for your many years of service to the students of Texas!


The Eden FCCLA National Qualifiers will be working the concession stand this Saturday 6/12 at the Spring Stampede Ranch Rodeo. We would love to have you come and purchase your supper from us. Food will be ready by 6 pm. Let us know if you have any questions.
