Eden CISD

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28th, will be a regular school day, with buses running on their normal schedule. Please plan to arrive to school at your normal time, while allowing extra time for safe travels.

After another check of the roads & parking lot at the school, we WILL NOT have any Open Gym today. Please stay safe & warm today. As of now, all scheduled games for this week will continue as scheduled.

Basketball update: Varsity Boys @ Olfen has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 28th at 5pm. Varsity Girls will still play Lohn at Eden on Wednesday, January 28th at 5pm.

Eden CISD – School Closure
Out of an abundance of caution, Eden CISD will be closed and all classes and school activities are canceled on Tuesday, January 27, due to unsafe road conditions.
Classes will resume as scheduled on Wednesday, January 28.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and will share any updates as needed. Please stay safe and warm.

The district is monitoring road and weather conditions and will update parents on website and social media. Any decisions about the start time for Tuesday, January 27th will be posted by 3:00 pm tomorrow.

We hope this finds you safe & warm. Here is the JH & HS athletics schedules for the week of January 26th - a busy week of basketball, once we can get back to school. Due to the road conditions, there will be no athletic activities on Monday, January 26th. Let's have a great week!

Early Release – Friday, January 23
Out of an abundance of caution due to the threat of severe weather, Eden CISD will have an early release at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 23.
All students will have the opportunity to eat lunch prior to dismissal. Buses will run at 12:30 p.m.
This early release will allow everyone time to get home safely and prepare for the incoming weather. Please take care and stay warm this weekend.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the weekend and will share any updates as needed. Be sure to watch our Facebook page for information regarding a possible late start on Tuesday, January 27.

High School Basketball Update:

Due to illness within the Lohn girls basketball team they do not have enough players for Thursday, so the Varsity Girls game vs. Lohn will be postponed to next week (we'll have a date set by tomorrow).

The Varsity boys game has been moved up to 5:00pm vs. Lohn in Eden on Thursday, January 22nd.

Due to the chance of inclement weather this weekend we have decided to postpone our Taste of Eden event to Sunday, February 8th. We would also like to encourage more people to participate to make this a fun family friendly event that we can hopefully continue for years to come.

Due to the possibility of inclement weather this weekend, the Varsity games have been moved up on Friday, and the JH Tournament on Saturday has been cancelled.

All changes to previous communication on the updated schedules have been highlighted on the attached schedules.

Congrats to our own Blake Teeple who has been selected to play in the 2026 FCA All-Star football game. Blake will suit up for the Blue Team in this 11-man classic on June 6th in Abilene!

Congrats to our Junior High Lady Bulldogs & our Bulldogs - both are the Eden Junior High Basketball tournament Champions! The Lady Bulldogs defeated Bronte & Veribest, while the Bulldogs defeated Veribest & Menard.
